Multidisciplinary Care of the Critically Ill Pediatric Liver Transplant Patient

Call for Trainee Workshop Proposals

We are excited to offer a new opportunity for a SPLIT member fellow or trainee to help lead an interactive workshop at the SPLIT Annual Meeting in Chicago, May 6–7, 2027.

The session will focus on the management of a patient with acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) and will be built around a clinical case. The selected trainee will work with a faculty mentor to develop the session and will co-present and co-moderate the workshop at the national meeting.

This is a great opportunity to take a visible role in a national educational session, work closely with faculty, and build experience in case-based teaching and workshop facilitation.

The selected trainee will also receive a travel award to support attendance at the SPLIT Annual Meeting, including complimentary registration, $1000 US stipend and a certificate.

We are particularly interested in proposals that highlight real-world management decisions, areas of uncertainty, multidisciplinary care, and points where practice may vary across centers.

How to Apply by December 1

  1. Write a brief proposal that includes:
    • * A proposed patient case or case framework
